Wiltarded...

I had this funny-ass dream about Kelley this morning. For my land-lubber friends who may not be aquainted, you'll remember her from the story where she was really stoned in our backyard in Hawaii one day and I poignantly asked her if she was a comic genius or a fucking retard, to which she responded "What's a wiltard?". I still secretly suspect she is a zen master however.

Anyway, I dreamt I was visiting Maui and Kelley was there and we wuz hanging out. At one point toward the end of the dream she slipped on some soft-looking grass and stone stairs and fell, but the funny thing was that she slipped really slowly, almost slow-motion like and had more than enough time to correct herself but totally didnt and just... fell on her face like a wombat falling out of a tree, not even a hand out to cushion the blow. I started cracking up and couldnt stop laughing and asked why her why she didnt even try not to fall and she responded in her best i'm-being-a-sincere-and-thoughtful-wiltard voice, "I have a lot of confidence in the ground".

I dont know what that means but I laughed myself awake. Thanks.

Google Maps + Flickr = Earth Album

Saw this sweet mashup that I've been waiting for someone to do for a while now. Its called the Earth Album and it combines two killer apps we all love and adore to create a collection of photos from around the world. Pick a spot on the map and it automatically pulls up a collection of photos, along with photographer comments, links, and great GUI. Check it out. Link

I Forgot To Review Almodovar's "Volver"

Starring Penelope Cruz, who seems to have turned into a decent actress and who comes off as a real character in Almodovar's latest film. You gotta love Almodovar's fearlessness; he's the director that will touch topics that lesser directors only have nightmares about. I don't want to give the movie away, but I just want to comment how sad it is that it took a man to make a decent movie about this topic. He also manages to effortlessly capture the fleeting, subtle language of female communication that easily escapes the attention of most men. You rock, senor.

My Rating: Hella good.

"The Duchess of Dowdy strikes again in feathered hats that were once the rage, she resembles a petrified parakeet from the Jurassic age. A royal wreck."

Bone Marrow

"Healthy Marrow gives the eyes a clear, strong sheen that radiates calm light just like a lamp flame in a quiet place radiates silent, tranquil light. Dull, lifeless eyes indicate weak Marrow. In some terminal diseases, like galloping consumption, the eyes become feverishly bright toward the end. This does not indicate health, of course; it shows that the organism has marshaled its last fading reserves of strength and is using them to project its personality bravely outwards until the end. The body burns its own tissues to provide the light ahamkara* needs to project herself outward through the windows of her world, the eyes."
